Job Description

Hint, Inc. is seeking a talented and motivated Social Media Intern to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in social media marketing with one of the fastest-growing beverage companies in the market.

As a Social Media Intern, you will play a large role in assisting in the management of Hint Water’s organic social media presence on platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter/X. The ideal candidate will have experience with social media and a willingness to roll their sleeves up and get things done!

The role will work directly with the Social Media Manager.

This is an internship, with a requirement of a minimum of 20-30 hours per week. The duration of the internship is expected to be during the summer break, with the option to extend.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with the Social Media Manager to manage and maintain Hint’s TikTok channel and strategy. You will be responsible for research, brainstorming/ideation, production/content creation of videos, copywriting, publishing content, and community management, while following Hint’s brand voice and guidelines. 
• Assist with content creation for social media platforms (with a focus on TikTok and Instagram) where you’ll create 2-3 pieces of original social-first content (photos, short-form or long-form video content, etc. primarily on iPhone) based on the Social Team’s needs.
• Assist with day-to-day community management on Hint’s social media platforms, with a focus on TikTok and Instagram, to engage with followers and drive conversation.
• Track and report on Hint’s social performance monthly to be shared with the Social Media Team to provide learnings and recommendations based on content performance and audience reception.
• Source user-generated content on social for future use on Hint's social media channels.
• Assist in the planning and execution of social campaigns and strategies on Hint’s social media platforms. 
• Perform other tasks, projects, and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Current college student or recent college grad with a Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or a related field
• Preferably San Francisco/Bay Area based but open to remote if perfect/right fit for us - this will be a remotely based role with the expectation to come into office 3+ times a month. Our office is located in San Francisco.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, G Suite
• Strong and proven understanding/knowledge of digital and social media platforms (specifically Instagram & TikTok) 
• Have a deep understanding of pop culture and social trends
• Minimum of 1 year of proven work experience in social media (Instagram and TikTok, specifically)
• Comprehensive knowledge and ability to create content for all major social media platforms and tell a story that engages our social audiences
• Excellent written and organizational skills
• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Canva a plus
• Experience in content management systems like Sprout Social a plus
• Excel in a dynamic, collaborative, fast-paced, ever-changing work environment
