Outside Sales Representative – Decking and Fencing

New Holland, PA

• Build relationships and grow sales with our existing customers
• Prepare material takeoffs and create proposals
• Develop a cold-calling list within our region and share the value of our products
• Attend & Represent Homestead Outdoor at industry events
• Travel locally to meet with clients within a 1-2 hour radius
• Maintain knowledge of building trends
• Serve as backup for our inside sales reps during vacations or busy seasonal times
• Earn a base salary plus commission

Homestead Outdoor Products, a decking, railing, fencing, and siding materials supplier, seeks a full-time, in-office, and on-the-road Outside Sales & Customer Service Representative. Our ideal Outside Sales Rep enjoys building relationships with people and making on-site visits to customers. If you have a sales background and an understanding of the residential or commercial building industry or general construction knowledge, please consider joining our team.

Our Ideal Outside Sales Representative:

• Experienced : 2+ years of outside sales experience in the construction or building industry is preferred; general construction knowledge and experience with decking and fencing would be a plus.
• Outgoing: Enjoys connecting with people and building solid and lasting customer relationships.
• Self-Motivated: Must be goal-driven and able to work with autonomy. You manage your schedule and make the necessary connections to achieve your sales goals. Forward-Thinking.
• Ethical & Moral: Treat people respectfully, keep commitments, and inspire trust. Work with integrity and uphold our company values.
• Computer Savvy: Must have basic computer skills, proficient in MS Office 365 Suite. Experience with ERP or CRM software and 3D software is helpful.
• Active: Able to lift up to 50 lbs. on occasion.
