Nurse Manager Medical Surgical Unit
Our client hospital is a 211-bed facility. It boasts a dedicated team of over 120 physicians and care team members who provide compassionate, customer-focused care. The hospital offers a range of services, including kidney transplant, robotic surgery, acute care, diagnostic services, women’s health, orthopedic services, cardiac services, general and laparoscopic surgery, rehabilitation, emergency treatment, wound care, and more. It is designated as a Primary Stroke Center by the Joint Commission and recognized as a “Pediatric Ready” hospital by the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control Medical Services for Children Program.
Position Scope: The Nurse Manager is a registered and professional nurse serving under the leadership of the Chief Nursing Officer. The Nurse Manager supervises and directs nursing care and related activities in the Medical Surgical Unit according to the policies, procedures, mission, and objectives. Responsibilities include recommending, developing, and implementing policies and procedures, providing professional nursing care, initiating contact with physicians and patients to address needs and expectations, and serving as a resource for other staff members. The Nurse Manager also directs and evaluates patient care delivery and collaborates with all members of the healthcare team.
