About the Role

We are seeking an experienced investment professional to lead and execute principal investments focused on emerging infrastructure . These investments range from acquiring established companies to creating new platform businesses . This individual will have a significant role in shaping the firm’s future and directing its growth .

What We’re Looking For

• 6+ years of experience in investment banking, principal investing, or project finance within renewable energy or energy transition.
• Experience in both project and corporate investments/M&A.
• Expertise in merchant power markets, swaps, and hedges at the project or corporate level is ideal.Famil
• iarity with behind-the-meter power markets is a big plus.
• Confidence and capability to lead transactions with direct oversight from an MD or CIO.
• Exceptional financial modeling skills, with the ability to build institutional-grade financial models and materials with very little oversight.
• Experience preparing and presenting materials to pension funds, endowments, and sovereign wealth funds is a plus.
• Entrepreneurial mindset—excels in an unstructured, zero-bureaucracy environment.
• A self-starter who thrives when given autonomy to execute objectives—or define new ones.
• Strong disinterest in large, bureaucratic organizations—this is a place for builders, not corporate climbers.
• Independent thinker—no interest in corporate politics, following trends, or herd mentality.
• Strong verbal communicator with a sharp eye for detail in materials and analysis.
• A gritty professional with the resilience and perseverance to overcome challenges.
• Attention to detail is a must.
• Strong personal ties to Southern California are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead investment transactions with oversight from senior leadership, including preliminary screening, due diligence, and execution.
• Build institutional-quality financial models for project- and corporate-level investments.
• Structure and execute investments, followed by active portfolio management thereafter.
• Act as a hands-on investor, with a preference for those with operational or control experience.
• Evaluate and execute project debt finance opportunities as a borrower.
• Prepare institutional-quality materials for limited partners and portfolio companies.
• Operate in a fast-moving, high-performance environment that requires independent thinking, resourcefulness, focus, and execution.
