**Job Purpose:**
Provides primary level of guest assistance during their visit to Snow Valley. Acts as a liaison between company and guest, which may include both compliments and complaints. Processes ticket products and ID's for our season pass holders, staff and dependents. Attempts to resolve most issues guests may experience. Ensures our guests are satisfied with the resolution.
**Essential Functions/Physical Demands:**
* Works 8-10 hours per day, often for 6 consecutive days during winter season, November through April; up to 8 hours per day.
* Extended periods of standing and sitting throughout the shift.
* Interacts with the public and their concerns with their experience. Handling tense and/or stressful circumstances, while remaining sensitive and understanding.
* Occasional lifting and carrying of up to 10 lbs.; more with assistance
* Occasional stooping, bending at the neck and waist, reaching and filing
**Experience/Training/Education:**
**Required:**
* 1 year experience in guest services or related field
* Excellent communication skills
* Must pass a math test provided by Snow Valley,
* Possess good math skills
* Must have cash handling experience
* Must pass a post-offer "integrity" written exam
* May be required to pass a post-offer, pre-employment physical
**Desired:**
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* 3-5 years related work experience
**Knowledge/skills/abilities:**
Applicant should possess quality organizational skills, communication skills, and the ability to assist and consult the public with any related information they may need. Have the ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with other employees. Have the ability to comply with policies and procedures; ability to prioritize, organize and complete tasks.
**Environmental Elements:**
This position is primarily indoors, however, the property, which this position is held, is located in the mountains and is subject to potentially extreme temperatures and snow conditions. The temperature outside can range from below zero to well above 80 degrees Fahrenheit, with high winds, snow, rain and/or sunny conditions. Requires walking on uneven and potentially slippery surfaces.
