A Day in the Life of the Full Stack Engineer

As a Full Stack Engineer , you'll play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining applications that support SEMA’s mission. You’ll work across the .NET/MS SQL Server stack, collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve software functionality, implement new features, and optimize system performance. Your expertise will directly impact the efficiency of web-based applications, data-driven tools, and user interfaces for internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining web-based applications and systems using .NET, MS SQL Server, and modern front-end frameworks
  • Leading projects through the full software development lifecycle
  • Identifying and implementing software improvements, updates, and bug fixes
  • Collaborating with internal teams to gather requirements and create software design plans
  • Performing software analysis and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance
  • Creating custom reports, dashboards, and data queries based on business needs
  • Ensuring applications follow best practices for coding, security, and performance
  • Providing training and support for internal users on newly developed applications

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in full stack development, with a focus on .NET, .NET Core, and MS SQL Server
  • Strong front-end development experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Bootstrap
  • Hands-on experience with SQL Reporting Services, SSMS, SSIS, SSAS, and RESTful APIs
  • Proficiency with Visual Studio Enterprise, Azure, and Team Foundation Server
  • Experience working with SOAP and REST-based Web Services
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical teams
  • Bonus: Experience with Drupal, PHP, MySQL, Python, Knockout.js, or Apache
