Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Develops layout and plans sequence of operations. Locates and marks bending and cutting lines onto workpiece. Sets up and operates fabricating machines such as brakes, rolls, shears, band saws, and drill presses. Positions, aligns and fits parts. Designs and constructs templates and fixtures. Verifies conformance of workpiece to specifications. Fabricates and assembles sheet metal products. Sets up and operates machine tools associated with fabricating shops such as drill press, bad saws, shears and presses required-skills: Able to pass a tack welding test within the first 90 days. Understands basic Math. Ability to use and read tape measure to a 1/32" scope (standard). Clear Communication: Able to follow both verbal and written instructions from trainer/leaderman. Able to communicate clearly with co-workers. Customer Service: Able to build relationships among co-workers. Able to withstand crisis situations. Able to stand/walk for variable period of time. Able to work outside for duration of shift in variable climates. Able to lift 50+ lbs.
