Job Description

The Las Olas Network has been retained by a client in the Physician Practice space, that is looking to add a new Director of Revenue Cycle Management to their team.

This position will lead the strategy and operations of the organization’s revenue cycle. This role is essential in ensuring timely and accurate reimbursement while upholding compliance with regulatory requirements and payer agreements. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in value-based care, extensive knowledge of medical coding and billing, and a demonstrated ability to enhance revenue cycle efficiency and outcomes.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee billing, claims, accounts receivable, EHR integration, and collection software; negotiate contracts, monitor performance, and streamline workflows.
  • Develop training on documentation, coding (CPT, ICD-10, modifiers), and value-based care principles; conduct sessions and create educational materials.
  • Ensure correct coding (E/M, CPT, ICD-10, modifiers), stay updated on regulatory changes, and conduct audits to reduce errors.
  • Analyze performance data, track KPIs (AR days, collection rates, denials), and collaborate across departments for efficiency improvements.
  • Ensure adherence to HIPAA, Stark Law, and payer contracts; conduct internal audits and implement corrective actions.

Required skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare or Business Administration (Master’s preferred); Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 5 years in revenue cycle management, preferably in primary care and value-based care settings.
  • Strong knowledge of medical coding and billing practices (CPTII, ICD-10, modifiers), EHR systems, and practice management software.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement process improvements.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and interpersonal skills; ability to present complex information effectively.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with revenue cycle management software.
