Job Description

Classification : Contract

Contract Length: 12-Months

Responsibilities

  • Manage and build a strategic and comprehensive security program and implement and maintain policies that enable effective security practices.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies tailored to each client's unique needs and risk profile.
  • Perform and oversee periodic information security risk assessments and the security audit function.
  • Oversee ongoing security monitoring, develop, and deliver ongoing security training to the workforce.
  • Analyzes complex business needs of the client and recommends technical solutions.
  • Lead incident response efforts, including containment, investigation, and resolution of security incidents.
  • Ensures consistency and maintainability of existing applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing standards/procedures for implementing technical solutions.
  • Effectively administers performance management system including:
    • Developmental feedback
    • Goal setting
    • Assesses competency
    • Progressive discipline
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for the evaluation and management of third-party vendors and their security practices.
  • Recommend security technologies and solutions to enhance protection and detection capabilities.
  • Assist healthcare organizations in maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements such as HIPAA, GDPR, etc.
  • Makes and implements decisions compatible with organizational goals.

 
Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (Advanced degree preferred) with a major in computer science, information technology, business, or related disciplines.
  • Relevant healthcare/hospital operations experience.
  • One or more Certification required:
    • Certified Information Security Systems Professional (CISSP)
    • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
    • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
    • Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC)
    • Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT)
  • Experience with auditing security practices with experience with NIST or HITRUST
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity technologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and remotely with multiple clients.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest cybersecurity threats and trends.
  • 5 + years of experience in security, privacy, and risk management, with 2+ years in leadership role
